Super Bowl Party Recipes and Beer to Enjoy
It’s Super Bowl Week! Whether you are cheering for the Patriots or the Rams, or you would have preferred neither of those teams made it, you can still have a great time watching the game.
One way to guarantee you have a fantastic Super Bowl party is to fill your table with delicious food, fill your cooler with refreshing beer, and fill your home with people you love. We can help you with the food and beer.
At Sweetbriar Rose, we love good food and beer. We spend a significant amount of time finding the tastiest beers and the best recipes for you (and us!) to enjoy. We want to share some of our favorites with you! Hopefully, they help you have a fabulous Sunday afternoon of watching football.
Super Bowl Recipes
When you turn on a football game, something inevitably is triggered, and you are immediately hungry. Whether it’s the stress of the game, the socializing, or just boredom in some cases, food is something you need on hand to satisfy the hunger.
No Super Bowl Party is complete without a plate of chicken wings and a bowl of cool dip to go with them. These classic Buffalo Chicken Wings are delicious and sure to please. This recipe does call for a deep fryer, though you could just use a large pot with a good bit of oil.
If you would rather skip the fried wings, here is a method to oven-bake them. You can still coat in your favorite sauce, or serve with the sauce on the side. However you prepare the wings, serve them on a platter with some veggies like carrots and celery, as well as either ranch or blue cheese, whatever you prefer.
If you’re in the mood to try something a little bit different, try these Sesame Sticky Wings. Not only are they baked, they are also mouth-wateringly delicious. A little bit sweet and a little bit spicy, these wings will be a crowd pleaser.
Another fantastic option for a savory snack is meatballs. Again, there are many directions to go here. A traditional meatball recipe you should try is these Cocktail Meatballs. If you want to try something that isn’t so saucy, try these Sausage Cheese Balls. Both are delicious and will most likely be gone before the game is over.
Something to Dip
When you’re hosting a party, especially a Super Bowl party, dips are a great go-to recipe. Dips are generally easy to prepare, they are versatile, and people love them. If you are looking for something a little more elaborate than salsa or spinach dip (both of which are still great options), there are many dips to try.
A fun twist on traditional chips and salsa is Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips. This recipe is relatively simple and unique. Your family or guests will love trying this fun dish. For something a little more savory, try this Seven Layer Taco Dip. This dip has the best of all your favorite taco ingredients. Each bite on a tortilla chip is like a mini taco in your mouth!
Of course, if you want a killer spinach artichoke dip, try this version by The Pioneer Woman. There are so many variations of the dip, but we have found this one is delicious, creamy, tangy, and perfect for a party.
If you’re in the mood to tackle something that is a little more work but sure to catch the attention (and taste buds) of everyone watching the game, try these Football Whoopie Pies with Cinnamon Cream. Shaped like footballs and filled with creamy goodness, everyone will want to try one, or three!
For a creative dessert that is also rich and flavorful, try these S’Mores Brownies. Everyone loves a S’More, why not make it better with some brownies added in?
Super Bowl Beer
Obviously, you will want some refreshing beer to wash all these snacks down with. Before you buy a case of Bud Light, swing by Sweetbriar Rose. Along with the large variety of bottles and cans we have for purchase, we always six beers on tap. Stop in and try what’s on tap, we change it regularly.
Local Texas Beer
Deep Ellum IPA--This IPA from Deep Ellum in Dallas is loaded with American hops. It has the flavor an IPA should, but it has nice tropical fruit, citrus, pine, and floral flavors to balance out any bitterness.
Twisted X Gulf Kölsch-- This smooth blonde is an amazing blend of European and Domestic malts. The result is a clean and easy drinking Kölsch.
Real Ale Blackberry Gose--A Gose is a traditional wheat beer from Northern Germany that is slightly sour, a little bit salty, and known for flavors of coriander. In this rendition, the blackberry flavors add a refreshing spin on a classic favorite.
Adelbert’s Tripel B--Out of Austin, Adelbert’s has crafted a spicy and fruity light colored ale. The beer is complex and delicious.
Beer From Everywhere Else
Deschutes Black Butte Porter--The rich and creamy porter is full of chocolate and coffee notes to create a delicious and easy-drinking beer.
Ayinger Bräuweisse--This is an easy-drinking wheat beer with a distinct banana aroma. It is full-bodied, yet soft. You will even notice a champagne-like sparkle.
Whatever you decide to serve at your Super Bowl Party, we hope you enjoy your day relaxing with friends and family. Swing by before the game, or stop by Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. We hope to see you soon!
